Business Development Manager IoT
**General Description**
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager, with a proven track record of managing, leading and implementing multiple client-facing projects within a technology environment. It is a great opportunity to work on the world's largest open ecosystem of IoT devices, and to work for a company whose vision is to democratise IoT by making all Samsung hardware IOT-ready by 2020. Samsung recently announced the unification of its IoT clouds into a single powerful platform called the SmartThings Cloud. As part of the world's largest open ecosystem of IoT devices, the cloud will support partner company products that 'Work with SmartThings' or 'Work as SmartThings Hub,' and new services that are "Powered by SmartThings"; for this reason our partners are integral in delivering an ultimate seamless experience to consumers. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for conducting market analysis, developing new business cases and targeting key partnerships to deliver innovative new services in existing and new business areas. Candidates should have the imagination and drive needed to grow ideas from an initial concept through to a commercialised billion dollar service. You will be a self-starter who can passionately articulate Samsung's vision to gain commitment and cement long-lasting commercial relationships. You will be adept in articulating our technology proposition so as to clearly demonstrate the value of partnering with Samsung. The role involves, but is not limited to, the following:
* Leverage existing external network for lead generation
* Effective and concise market analysis drafting, strategy development
* Manage development funnel: leads, prospects, projects, closing
* Proactive account management of partners
* Identify prospective service partner providers
* Work closely with Partner companies to define user scenarios and use cases.
* Negotiate commercial terms, agree joint marketing T&C;'s with partners
* Work with Project Management and contribute to the external project plan
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Qualifications and Required Skills
* Relevant Bachelor's Degree or related Industry experience
* Understanding of the IoT sector and the SmartThings platform
* Proven experience in sales strategy definition and execution
* Experience in account management
* Project management skills
* Effective in interactions with senior level management, ability to communicate complex ideas concisely to both a technical and non-technical audience
* Ability to understand markets, customers and Samsung business objectives, and create highly focused set of services for users
* Experience in technology services, IoT and mobile ecosystems (desirable)
* Experience in defining service policy, terms of use, EULA, etc. of services (desirable) Desirable Skills
* Experience in one of the following business areas:
* Security, construction, insurance, wearables, location tracking.
