Paint Mixer
Responsible for accurately and efficiently mixing paint while demonstrating effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
1. Mix all paint accurately and neatly.
2. Know how to mix paint for all paint lines.
3. Be familiar with and follow all labeling laws.
4. Know the procedures for changing, tracking and disposing of empty tints.
5. Be able to estimate the amounts of tint needed for bulk mixes.
6. Keep paint room and equipment clean and neat.
7. Know the procedures for using and leveling all paint scales.
8. Be able to use a microfiche viewer and the applicable paint formula retrieval computer system for formula location, tinting guides, and special quantity mixing.
9. Run mix banks as directed.
10. Know and implement preventative maintenance procedures for mixing equipment.
11. Know how to make basic repairs on tint lids and mix machines.
12. Coordinate mixing with CSR or Dispatcher so that paint for deliveries is mixed on time.
13. Know the appropriate invoice account number and the procedures for billing paint cans and used tints. These items should be billed daily or as required by the manager.
14. Know where to obtain labels and other paint room supplies and how to order them.
15. Inform the manager when tint bases are low and be familiar with inventory/order point adjustments.
16. Keep a record of all special color formulas. Know how to use the special formula program on the
17. applicable paint formula retrieval computer system.
18. Assist Customer Service Representative.
19. Assist Delivery Service Representatives with boxing and loading orders and delivering.
20. Assist with putting stock orders away.
21. Train new paint mixers as needed.
22. Report all customer problems, complaints and praise to the manager.
23. Know and follow all Hazmat Disposal Regulations.
24. Maintain current knowledge of new and obsolete tints.
25. Responsibilities as a Paint Mixer also include any duties requested by your supervisor.
26. Performs similar and related duties to achieve objectives while using methods consistent with the FinishMaster culture.

Mandatory Requirements-
+ No minimum, mandatory education requirement.
Preferred Requirements-
+ High school diploma or equivalent with general education emphasis.
Mandatory Requirements-
+ Applicable, effective reading and writing skills from demonstrated experience.
Preferred Requirements-
+ Successfully demonstrated experience with all paint lines (mixing requirements), labeling laws, Hazmat disposal regulations.
