**Key Qualifications**

* You have the ability to adjust priorities and manage the business wisely in a rapidly changing environment

* You're passionate and driven in following past, current, and emerging security exploit types

* Your experience in working with employees focused on reverse engineering, security research, as well as iOS development (knowledge of compilers, debuggers, and low-level system technologies) is beneficial

* You have significant experience developing, measuring, and optimizing support teams

* Your overall understanding of mainstream computing languages and their capabilities, as well as general knowledge of fault injection frameworks or fuzzing and virtualization are a plus

* You have an understanding of OS X, Linus, and various flavors of UNIX, as well as various TCP and/or IP protocols

* Advanced knowledge in JavaScript a major plus

* You demonstrate innovative and creative thinking capabilities

* Advanced knowledge of Keynote, Numbers, and MS Excel*


**Description**

The Reverse Engineering/Security Research Manager is accountable for the day-to-day management of the Technical Investigations Team, focused on maintaining both the tactical day-to-day SLAs, as well as driving the strategic planning and effectiveness of the group. As part of App Review's Policy & Escalations team, this position offers unrivaled opportunities to collaborate with a wide array of internal teams to actively identify and mediate potential security and privacy concerns to better Apple's products. We also strive to help protect the health of the App Store, Apple's developers, and end-users. A successful leader in this role will drive processes and detection mechanisms to continually improve the security posture of the App Store. We are looking for someone who will be heavily involved in incident responses to remediate critical issues that are found or reported. Having a developer-oriented approach with excellent technical, communication, organizational, and analytical skills is important. Someone with passion for problem solving, getting results, and automation are also essential. This position will be exposed to sensitive internal and third-party information necessitating strong judgment and discretion in internal and external communications.


- Manage and develop the technical team, maximize the skills of the workforce while providing a first-class developer experience

- Manage policies and procedures, and help to facilitate quality auditing

- Work closely with cross-functional partners to establish reporting to help support overall tactical efforts, and drive tool features and functional specifications to optimize workflows

- Represent the team in technical and product meetings as needed

- Develop and maintain effective multi-functional links with Apple Engineering and other WWDR groups.

- Collaborate with Partnership Management, App Store Business Management, and Engineering to manage business priorities

- Mentor and inspire the team to deliver innovative ideas

- Know the latest on the vulnerability threat landscape and be up-to-date on current/potential attacks




**Education**

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
