Sr. Business Coordinator
**General Description**
Responsible, under direct supervision, for understanding the financial operations and processes for various Samsung Telecommunication business units. Provide assistance with financial reporting and analysis. This position will participate in process evaluation, ad hoc reporting, and various financial duties. This position will also conduct secondary market research, build & maintain intelligence database, and produce regular reports regarding key developments in US telecom/internet industry. Work consists of tasks that are typically not routine, works independently and may be required to apply discretion within established operational boundaries and procedures. Responsible for gathering and analyzing information from publicly available sources and subscribed sources, and produce. weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports for Samsung audience. Topics of the reports include but are not limited to important developments and emerging trends in US operators, services, enabling technologies, regulations, and competitors. Conduct planning research to identify trends with the data integrated into SEA's business plans. Responsible for building and maintaining knowledge database. Analyze research to gain insight and strategies that will enhance the development of SEA's initiatives. Will can be assigned to special short-term research analysis projects. The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. The market research ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Read and interpret marketing documents, media materials, contracts, or related documents. Demonstrated competency in oral and written modes for communication of marketing related information to both internal and external audiences at all levels. The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
* High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of directly related experience or Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of experience is required.
* Prior experience should include research analysis and/or business analysis.
* Experience in the telecommunications industry a plus.
* Should have comprehensive research and planning statistical analysis knowledge and broad understanding of involved practices along with functional theory/principles.
* Must have demonstrable experience in developing research planning presentations using a variety of PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and graphic arts software.
* Work is generally performed in an office environment.
* Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
* Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.
* The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds.
* Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.
* Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area.
* May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule.
* Travel varies depending on position.
* Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
